Know Your Customer (KYC) has become an essential phase of every online savings. With the latest notification, people can now update their KYC for EPF online through UAN EPFO.  All that a user needs to have is his or her Universal Account Number (UAN) account information. Step 1 – Visit the official website of EPFO UAN, that is, https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.  Once the page loads, enter your account information and login. Then follow this route – Manage Tab -> KYC.

Step 2 – Once you select the KYC option, you will have a form that will allow you to furnish information for – bank, PAN card and Aadhaar card. Here, one can choose to fill all or any of them.

Step 3 – Click on update. Once you have updated the information, the portal will show the changes as pending. This will remain as long as the employer has not approved it.

Step 4 – The moment your employer will approve the furnished information, you will receive a confirmation of KYC updated on your registered mobile number.

Required documents for KYC

For the purpose of fulfilling KYC verification, any Government issues ID card is sufficient. The list includes:

  • Ration card
  • Voter ID card
  • Driving card
  • Passport
  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card

Even bank passbook can be used for KYC in some cases.
