To update the details on your PAN (Permanent Account Number), follow these steps:

Online Procedure

1. Visit the Official NSDL or UTIITSL Website – (Complete Step by Step Guide Here)

2. Select the ‘PAN Change/Correction’ Option
– On the website, choose the ‘PAN Change/Correction’ option. You may also find it under ‘Services’ or a similar section.

3. Fill Out the PAN Correction Form
– Fill out the PAN correction form online. Provide the correct information that needs to be updated (e.g., name, date of birth, address).

4. Submit Required Documents
– Upload scanned copies of documents that support the changes. This could include proof of identity, address, and date of birth.

5. Pay the Fee (If Applicable)
– If there is a fee associated with the correction, you will need to make the payment online.

6. Submit the Form

3. Attach Supporting Documents:

How to Fill PAN Card Correction Form?

Step 1: Obtain the Correct Form
Make sure you have the correct PAN correction form. There are two types:

Step 2: Enter Personal Information

1. Applicant Details: Fill in the applicant’s details such as name, date of birth, and gender. Make sure it matches with the supporting documents.

While filling up the form for PAN (Permanent Account Number) card application following guidelines should be kept in mind:

  • Neat and Capital Letters: Write using capital/block letters which are easily readable.
  • Black Ink: It is preferable to use black ink while filling out forms so that they look official.
  • English Language: The form must only be filled in the English language. Any other script or language should not be used.

2. Address: Fill in all your address details such as locality, city or town, state and PIN code. These should match with what you have indicated in the proof of address that you are submitting.

Photographs: Attach one recent passport-size colour photograph on each form where they belong but DON’T use staples/clips rather use the glue/adhesive paste method while putting them there so that they can stick securely without falling off later after some time has passed by since their attachment onto this application/submission document itself.

Individual Applicants For Pan Card

  • In case you are an “individual” applying for PAN card(s), please follow these instructions with regard to photographs:
  • Number Of Photographs: Two recent colour photographs having a white background should be affixed (not stapled) in the specified space provided on the front side top portion near the left-hand corner while looking at it vertically oriented towards oneself).
  • Size Of Photographs: Each photograph’s size should be exactly three point five centimetres multiplied by two point five centimetres i.e., 3.5cm x 2.5cm which means height width respectively.
